Visiting a Disney Park in Japan was unlike any other Disney experience I’ve had thus far.
I’ve talked about cute-obsessed Japan before, and how from cleaning products to food, there’s no escaping the cute. So of course our visits Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea were no exception.
The parks themselves had plenty of cute decorations and merchandise, but I expected that. What I didn’t expect? The people.
It doesn’t seem to matter if you are 5 or 50…here all ages sport their love of Disney right on their sleeve. Literally.
Guys, girls, adults, kids, whether you were alone or in a group– everyone was decked out in expensive Disney merchandise. Here it seems like how wealthy you are directly correlates to how many Duffy bears you own. (Especially since the normal teddy bear size runs about $50 USD per pop!)
Now I know some people who visit Disney Parks in the US or Hong Kong will dress up as well, but it just isn’t the same.
No, the people of Tokyo Disney take it one step further.
