Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels.
This week’s photo is of Masjid Jamek in Kuala Lumpur.
Located at the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur, where the Klang and Gombak rivers meet, sits Masjid Jamek. As one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia, Masjid Jamek was established over 100 years ago and previously served as the national mosque.
While I almost feel bad talking about galavanting around the perfectly sunny, 90+ degree Kuala Lumpur while friends and family have been suffering a snowpocalypse back home with Polar Vortex, seeing all the mosques and Islamic architecture was certainly a highlight of visiting Malaysia.
