Built up by so many of my friends and fellow travel bloggers, Prague was another city that I had high expectations for. I was worried that it would end up disappointing me, as Amsterdam did the week before, but from the moment I stepped foot in the Old Town, I felt like I was constantly walking around with my mouth wide open.
Prague. Is. Gorgeous.
Like, jaw-droppingly gorgeous.
Now I know that people say that all the time, but seriously, I’ve never been anywhere before that made me feel as though I was on the set for Disney’s next big movie. It’s hard to put Prague into words, and after thinking about it long and hard, the only way I can properly describe it is to say it makes you feel as though you’re in a fairytale.
Don’t believe me? Have a look for yourself…
HERE’S A LOOK AT MY FAVORITE FAIRYTALE MOMENTS FROM PRAGUE:
Enjoying the views from Old Town Square’s Town Hall.
The romantic orange rooftops span as far as the eye can see.
Wandering around the Old Town Square is just as picturesque from the ground as it is from above.
Each and every building is covered in intricate details– you really need to stop and examine them up close or you may miss something.
Is there any animal more fairytale-like than swans? I don’t think so!
Swans will actually gather along the banks of the Vltava River where families love to feed them.
Romantic love lock-covered bridges spanned across small canals.
Prague’s oldest market, Havelské Tržiště dates back to 1232, and looks straight out of a children’s book.
Seeing marionettes everywhere, which have a long history here, had me thinking of Pinocchio.
Doesn’t it just look like Rapunzel should be up in those windows?
